RESPITE CENTER COFFEEHOUSE

Each year, the Michael Lisnow Respite Center proudly hosts one of its most beloved traditions, the Respite Center Coffeehouse Concert, an inspiring evening of music that celebrates the incredible talents of our community.

The Coffeehouse is a special performance showcasing the musical abilities of many of our Respite Center clients. Participants spend months preparing for the event, practicing and refining their performances with dedication and enthusiasm. These preparations often include a wide range of musical expression such as singing, drumming, harmonica playing, guitar performances, and even a sign language performance of songs.

For many of the performers, the Coffeehouse represents an opportunity to step onto the stage, share their talents, and experience the joy and pride that comes with performing for a live audience.

The event was originally created by longtime staff member Dan Cloutier, whose vision helped establish what has become a cherished tradition within the Respite community. 2026 marks the 19th year of this wonderful event, which continues to grow in spirit, creativity, and community support.

The Coffeehouse is a celebration of creativity, inclusion, and the unique voices of the individuals we serve. Families, friends, and community members gather together to cheer on performers, share in the excitement of the evening, and witness the remarkable confidence and joy that music brings to our clients.

The 19th Annual Respite Center Coffeehouse will take place in November at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. Please check back soon for the exact date and time.

We invite the community to join us for this uplifting evening of music, encouragement, and celebration as we continue a tradition that highlights the power of creativity and the talents of the Respite Center family.
